There are some decent small CNC machines out there but they all come with these cheap CNC Jacks guaranteed to destroy the bed the first time you use them. Those knurled screw heads will gouge your base plate quickly.
The answer is to flip the bolts over and add a simple foot. A cone shape in SCAD yielded some simple Jack Feet
They work from any angle.
They can even span the T slots.
